What do I need? The most important part is finding a good Aikido-school. You can do this by; searching the yellow pages, searching for ads in the papers, call the dojos in your neighborhood and ask if they teach aikido, ask a friend, or through the internet (see the links to other sites on this site).

When you have found a Aikido-school it is important that they teach Aikido in a way that you like. Take some introduction-lessons before you pay for a memberschip. And what do you need for these introduction-lessons? Not much, a T-shirt and sweatpants will do fine. After a few lessons you can buy a "gi" (better know as a Judo outfit). It depends on the type of style the school is teaching when you can buy a "hakema" (traditional Japanese skirt). Have fun!
